    Itinerary

    In winter, the planned activities are oriented towards monitoring wolves traces on snow-covered ground in order to obtain a numerical estimate of the individuals and important information on their use of the territory.

    During the summer, the field activities take part in excursions during the day aimed at discovering and verifying any signs of the presence of packs that are being monitored by collecting and cataloging them; as well as nocturnal excursions aimed at listening to the howling of the adults wolves and their puppies.

    •Dress in layers during excursions

    Clothing and useful equipment:
    • waterproof, breathable and windproof jacket

    • a heavy and a medium-weight fleece top
    • hiking socks and boots
    • sun hat with a visor
    • 30 L backpack
    • Hiking poles 
    • gloves 

    Snowshoes, necessary for snow-tracking activities, are available upon request for winter camps participants.
