The participants will join the researchers of Caretta Calabria Conservation in the monitoring activities of the beaches in search of traces and any signs of egg deposition. Beginning in August participate in night monitoring activities of the nests and with a little luck, witness the emergence of hatchlings and their first trip to sea. Details:
• Nighttime monitoring of hatching is a likely activity in August onwards, and in any case is subject to actual nesting.
• The hatching of the eggs takes place about 45/70 days after deposition and is strongly dependent on temperatures and other environmental factors, so it cannot be predicted with certainty.
• The search for traces of surfacing of the turtle and nests will take place during the early hours of the day (starting at 06:00) or in the late afternoon (starting at 17:00).
